The final engine, a new addition for the 2019 model year, is a 2.0-liter turbo 4-cylinder that generates up to 270 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. This engine can also be configured with FWD, AWD or an available 4x4 system. All three engines are matched with a nine-speed automatic transmission.

2019 Chevrolet Equinox Power & Handling

The Equinox also offers three engines to choose from. The first, a 1.5-liter turbo inline-4 creates 170 horsepower and 203 pound-feet of torque and is paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission. Up next is the available 2.0-liter turbo inline-4 that generates up to 252 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. This engine is paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission. The final engine available, a 1.6-liter turbo diesel inline-4, produces 137 horsepower and 240 pound-feet of torque and comes matched to a 6-speed automatic transmission. All engines are available with both FWD and AWD.

2019 Jeep Cherokee Features & Design

The Jeep Cherokee is available in five trim levels for the 2019 model year. They range from the Latitude to the Overland with an off-roading oriented Trailhawk in the middle. There are just four Chevrolet Equinox trim levels to choose from. You won’t even see the entry-level trim level on the lot since its a custom-order build and you have to order it. Standard features include a rearview camera, keyless entry and ignition, height-adjustable front seats, a six-speaker sound system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, tilt/telescoping steering wheel, four USB ports, and Bluetooth. The upper trim levels come outfitted with additional features like a spare tire, a sunroof, xenon headlights, an 8” touchscreen, larger wheels, navigation, a household-style power outlet, and a hands-free liftgate.
