This is offered with FWD, AWD, and Jeep's 4x4 systems specially designed for the 2019 Cherokee. The final engine, a brand new option for the 2019 model year, is a 2.0L turbo inline-4 that produces up to 270 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque. This engine can also be configured with FWD, AWD, and the available 4x4 systems. All three engines are paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission.

2019 Ford Escape Power & Handling

Three engines are also available to power the 2019 Ford Escape. The standard engine is a 5.2L inline-4 that produces 168 hp and 170 lb-ft of torque. This engine is only available with FWD.
