How do I pair my smartphone to my Jeep?
Step 1: The first thing you are going to want to do to initiate the pairing between your smartphone and Jeep is to head to settings on your phone. You are going to go to Bluetooth, and make sure that Bluetooth is on. Nothing can be synced if this step isn't done, so if you are having issues, make sure that you haven't accidentally turned anything off!
Step 2: The next thing that you will want to do is focus on the Uconnect touchscreen that is located in your Jeep. You'll be selecting "Phone", and from there, going into those specific settings. Make sure that you press "Paired Phones", which should bring up a screen that shows "Add Device". If you are not seeing any of those things, then you may have clicked to a wrong menu, and we recommend starting over so you don't get frustrated.
Step 3: Now, back on your smartphone, you'll want to select the Uconnect system from the different devices that are listed. This will bring up a passkey that you have to confirm on the touchscreen in your Jeep and your smartphone. Make sure that both match up so that everything can be confirmed.
Step 4: The very last step that we recommend you take is to set your phone as a favorite. This can be done by just hitting "Yes", when it will eventually be prompted to you. Once that's done, your phone will automatically connect to your Jeep so long as Bluetooth is enabled.
