Can you tell me about the newly standard safety features?
Your safety is of the utmost importance to Jeep, which is why the Cherokee comes standard with a whole slew of driving assist features on every trim level. Blind Spot Monitoring alerts you when other vehicles are driving in your blind spots and hard to monitor areas, and works in tandem with rear-cross path detection to warn you of vehicles present in areas you can't see while backing up. Using radar sensors, the Cherokee can sense if you are approaching another vehicle or obstruction too fast, and will warn you visually and audibly, and even engage the brakes to put you at a complete stop if your reaction time isn't quick enough! When you're veering off your intended path, Electronic Stability Control uses sensors to detect this, and will gently nudge you back into your own lane. LaneSense Lane Departure Warning with Lane Keep Assist will give you audible and visual warnings when you are drifting into other lanes, and correct your steering with a gentle nudge to keep you in your intended lane.
