2020 Mazda CX-5 Power & Handling
Only one engine option is available for the 2020 Mazda CX-5. The first three trims are powered by a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 187 horsepower and 186 lb-ft of torque and comes with four-wheel-drive. The Grand Touring and the Signature trims are a little bit better as they get a more powerful version of the turbocharged four-cylinder that pumps out 227 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque or 250 hp and 320 lb-ft of torque on premium gas. The engine pairs with a six-speed automatic transmission. While these are some respectable numbers, they pale in compression to what the Cherokee provides.

There are five trim levels available for the 2020 Cherokee, and there are some terrific features on each. The Trailhawk trim comes with more off-road features such as an advanced all-wheel-drive system, wider wheels with all-terrain tires, increased ground clearance, hill ascent, and descent control, skid plates, and tow hooks.
2020 Mazda CX-5 Features & Design
Like the Cherokee, the Mazda CX-5 has five trim levels with some useful features. The base Sport comes with LED headlights, push-button ignition, a 7-inch touchscreen, and a four-speaker sound system as well as Mazda's i-Activsense of advanced safety features. Going with the Touring adds keyless entry, a power-adjustable driver's seat, simulated-leather upholstery, heated front seats, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a six-speaker sound system. Higher-level trims get you all of the above features while also adding leather upholstery, a power-adjustable passenger seat, driver-seat memory functions, and an upgraded driver information display. You also get premium leather upholstery, a surround-view camera, and front and rear parking sensors. Some optional packages are available for the CX-5 that give you additional features such as a head-up display, ventilated front seats, heated rear seats and a heated steering wheel.
