The Sports, like all trims of the Wrangler, comes with a choice of several engines. Standard is four-wheel-drive and a 3.6-liter V6 engine that pumps out an impressive 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. The engine comes with the option of a mild hybrid eTorque system that helps improve the Wranglers fuel economy. With this engine comes either a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic transmission. Optional is either a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that makes 270 horsepower or a 3.0-liter V6 diesel-powered engine that gives you an unprecedented 442 lb-ft of torque. Both engines pair with the eight-speed automatic transmission. The 4xe plug-in hybrid is available later in the year. As for features, the Sport comes with 17-inch steel wheels, skid plates, tow hooks, foglights, and a 5-inch touchscreen. There is also a Willy's version of the Sport that adds four-wheel disk brakes, limited-slip rear differential, and all-weather floor mats.

The next trim level is the Sport S, which builds on the Sport with alloy wheels, air conditioning, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, power windows and locks, and an Alpine audio system. The Altitude version of the Sport S adds to this with an upgraded off-road suspension and black interior and exterior accents. You also have the option of a few packages, including the LED headlamp group. 

The third trim level of the Wrangler is the Sahara, and it comes with a ton of more fun features such as full-time four-wheel drive, automatic climate control, and a 7-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Sahara has both an Altitude and a High Altitude version. With the Altitude, you get leather seats and all of the Sport S Altitude features. High Altitude versions of the Sahara have 20-inch wheels with all-season tires, a sport-tuned suspension, parking sensors, a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, and an upgraded infotainment system with an 8.4-inch touchscreen. 

The last Wrangler trim in the lineup is the off-road-ready Rubicon, which comes with all the latest off-road equipment. Included with the Rubicon are 33-inch off-road tires and more massive fender flares, 4:1 low-range gearing, an electronic disconnecting front stabilizer bar, and rock rails. You also get an all cloth interior, a soft-top roof, and electronic locking front and rear differentials.
